- Basically what Microsoft is doing is pre-empting a possible Apple-tablet launch, so if they do MS can point the finger and say: "Aha! Look at Apple copying us", despite the fact that Apple already has multi-touch in the iPhone, iPod AND Mac OS X (on new laptops).
